IPAS 2006 to kick off in late April

TEHRAN, Mar. 17 (MNA) -– Tehran is going to host the Fifth Iran’s International Police, Safety and Security Equipment Exhibition, IPAS 2006, from April 25-28, 2006.

Ali Vahedian, the executive director of Naji Pas Company, stated, “Given the world’s wide-ranging technological progress, employing the latest know-how in this field is a must for police forces nowadays.”

Also the commercial and production deputy of NAJA (Islamic Republic of Iran Law Enforcement Forces) Cooperative Foundation, he added that over 380 foreign and domestic companies would be participating in the event to introduce the most recent advancement in this ‘new science’ and over 30,000 invitations have so far been forwarded to experts in the field worldwide.

“It is imperative for security forces to get to know the new gears and techniques and to become familiarized with the application of products introduced to this end,” he said, commenting that information exchange and communication with other countries are the prerequisites for a consistent improvement in this sector.

Establishing law and order in society as well as ensuring security of citizens is a duty bestowed upon any government. In this sense, police forces must deal with this task and counter the modern methods employed by criminals.

IPAS 2006 is another step taken forward in this direction while offering an opportunity to domestic manufacturers to realize the needs of NAJA. Competition and production of required equipments may save the nation millions in forex and it could turn the country into an exporter in foreseeable future as well, the deputy maintained.

IPAS has been attracting officials and authorities from armed forces and governmental organizations along with foreign diplomats every year and Naji Pas Company is again proud to sponsor the fifth expo by laying a suitable ground for foreign investment and creating potential employment in this four-day event, he mentioned.

The latest IT products, transport units and systems, uniforms, video-optical equipments for traffic and emergency purposes, and educational presentations are among the main focuses of IPAS 2006 to be held at Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds in an area of 10,000 square meters.
